Prayer is an important part of who we are at Kingwood's First Baptist. We start with it and we never cease. There are many ways that you can become a part of the prayer ministry of KFBC. Below you will find a hand full of opportunities that will help you in becoming proactive in prayer:
("...standing in the gap..." Ezekiel 22:30)
Volunteer men and women of the GAP lift up every Sunday morning worship service in prayer. At least two pray-ers, men or women, are scheduled each month for each Sunday morning worship service and meet in the Prayer Chapel, room (E105), for prayer during the worship service.
Prayers are lifted to the Lord for every person in the service, the Pastor, staff, choir, reading of God's Word, the protection and conduct of the service, and inviting the working of the Holy Spirit in the hearts and lives of those in the service. As pray-ers in the GAP, you may lift prayers verbally or silently.
Prayer requests are gathered from those needing immediate prayer during the services and they are brought to the GAP for specific prayer. An orientation is given to each new member. Call the church office 281 358-4266 or Jim Heflin 281 360-5580.
All are encouraged to use the Prayer Chapel for personal and or small group prayer and meditation at any time the church is open. We have prayer warriors who are available on Sunday mornings to pray with you and your personal situations. The chapel is a place to get away and spend a quiet time in conversation with God.
(NOTE) The Prayer Chapel is available for small weddings, upon request to the church office. Appropriate wedding music can be set up and played on the unique disc player available in the chapel.
The Prayer Room is open every Sunday morning during the Bible Study time for anyone who has special or urgent prayer needs. Experienced and caring intercessors are available to listen and guide in private and confidential prayer, one on one.
Bible Study classes are scheduled for class prayer in the Prayer Room during the year. Home prayer visits are made during the Bible study time to those unable to attend church.
You pray with others who come to the TLP! You will be blest; call the church office 281 358-4266 <!--EndFragment-->
