Mission Trip Application

Update on Yucatan Mission Trip, October/November 2009
Clyde, Latriece, Shelton, Jerry, Eliu, Habib, and Kathy have returned to Merida from Campeche. We will be back in Kingwood by 10 AM tomorrow. We have accomplished the objectives previously set. Thanks be to God.
Habib taught a Negotiations Workshop to 15 persons last week. 10 CAP candidates are expected to graduate next spring. We will be having a graduation banquet at that time. Let us know if you would like to assist with expenses.
In attendance at the workshop were 4 alums of CAP. Luis works for Bimbo Bakeries as Sales Manager. He is two years out of university and supervising 20 sales persons.
Rosy is Director of Business Development for Yamaha Academies in Yucatan, Campeche, and Quintano Roo. Rosy and 2 friends have 4 classes and 204 music students. They are looking for another class room so they can take more students.
Misael was just offered Director of Sales at Banamex in Merida. He has announced his intention to become engaged to a recent medical school graduate.
Rolando is Senior Project Manager for an Arcitectural Firm in Kwala Lampur. His current project is in Shanghai, China. He works in the Merida office with 13 other architects.
Please, pray that these 4 young professionals will continue to follow God's Will, make sound decisions, and be encouraged to lead others to do the right thing.
Eliu Camacho preached at Messiah Baptist Church and taught Church Administration to the seminary class there. That church has 6 missions. Please, pray for the seminary students and the missions.
Latriece led the girls of Rancho El Palomar in a book study. Dialog ensued. Pray the girls will seek God's leadership in their lives.
Eliu and Shelton met with and talked to 7 boys at Rancho El Palomar:
Tony is 16 and wants to be a pastor. He asks that we pray for his Bible learning.
Ismael is 14 and wants Christian friends to advise him in his career. He wants to be an accountant.
Juan Carlos is 15. He helped us all during the time we worked on projects at Rancho El Palomar. Pray for his continued encouragement in faithful Christianity.
Guadalupe is 14. He asks that you pray for his family to know Jesus.
Juan Marcos is 14. He asked that you pray for his future.
Agustin is 10 years old. He asked that you pray for (Mama) Louise.
Clyde and Jerry worked on plumbing leaks outside the house. They solved 4 opportunities and followed up with building 2 basketball goals. The children were eager to get onto the court and try their skills.
Shelton and Kathy worked to replace failed light bulbs, get grass seed planted, poison ants, and repair kitchen cabinets. Pray for the leaders of Rancho El Palomar as they work day to day in care of the children.
Eliu preached at Maranatha Church to pastors and members of 12 different churches. He noted that in this world of changes, only God remains steadfast over time.
